At Heimtextil 2026, Patricia Urquiola presents ‘among-all’ in Hall 3.0 – an immersive installation that brings textiles to life. It uses AI to make you part of the design area. Here, material and technology, circular thinking and craftsmanship merge into a tangible whole.
Experience Patricia Urquiola live
Experience Patricia Urquiola at Heimtextil 2026 on the Texpertise Stage in Hall 6.0 – in the Architonic LIVE TALK. Here, the internationally acclaimed designer talks about her creative processes and the creation of her installation, which she created exclusively for Heimtextil. She provides insights into material cycles, sustainable design and the connection between craftsmanship and technology.
Learn first-hand how recycled nylon, bio-based surfaces and textile scraps are used to create a living world with responsive surfaces and intelligent systems. A unique insight – at Heimtextil 2026.
Between man, machine and material
In ‘among-all’, digital processes and traditional techniques merge to create progressive textile design. All physical elements are created with precision craftsmanship: woven, sewn, felted and shaped. An interactive AI system reacts to movements and translates them into a living digital scene. This creates a dialogue between machine and man – redefining textile design. Here, craftsmanship meets technology: intuitive, exploratory and experimental.
Guided tours of the exhibition area are available on all days of the fair, inviting to experience the interplay up close.
From textile remains to an experiential space
‘among-all’ combines materials that Patricia Urquiola has selected exclusively for the installation – and which can only be experienced in this form at Heimtextil 2026.
Recycled Econyl®-Nylon from Aquafil, bio-based material from citrus skin by Ohoskin and textile Offcuts from 13RUGS by rohi meet innovative 3D-printed structures from Caracol and fine fabrics from cc-tapis.
Together, they unfold an interplay of texture, colour and structure. An experience that makes sustainable material research tangible and the diversity of textile materials visible.
Recap: „among-us“ at Heimtextil 2025
In 2025, ‘among-us’ marked the beginning of Patricia Urquiola's work on open, flowing room concepts made of textiles. In a soft, organic environment, she combined material, projection and movement to create an immersive textile space.
‘among-all’ continues this approach – as a new chapter in an ongoing narrative about sustainability, AI, tradition and the human being at the centre.
