The collaboration between Heimtextil and Patricia Urquiola opens up new perspectives on textile interior design. At its heart are materials at the intersection of design, craftsmanship, technology and sustainability.
“among-all” at Heimtextil 2026
Intuitive, exploratory and experimental: at Heimtextil 2026, Patricia Urquiola presented “among-all”, an immersive installation that brought textiles to life using AI. Within the installation space, digital processes and traditional techniques merged to create progressive textile design.
Every element was crafted with precision – woven, sewn, felted and shaped. An interactive AI system responded to visitors’ movements and translated them into the digital scenery, creating a dialogue between people and machines, craftsmanship and technology.
Throughout the trade fair, guided tours gave visitors the opportunity to experience the installation live.
From textile remains to an experiential space
‘among-all’ combines materials that Patricia Urquiola has selected exclusively for the installation – and which can only be experienced in this form at Heimtextil 2026.
Recycled Econyl®-Nylon from Aquafil, bio-based material from citrus skin by Ohoskin and textile Offcuts from 13RUGS by rohi meet innovative 3D-printed structures from Caracol and fine fabrics from cc-tapis.
Together, they unfold an interplay of texture, colour and structure. An experience that makes sustainable material research tangible and the diversity of textile materials visible.

Recap: „among-us“ at Heimtextil 2025
In 2025, ‘among-us’ marked the beginning of Patricia Urquiola's work on open, flowing room concepts made of textiles. In a soft, organic environment, she combined material, projection and movement to create an immersive textile space.
‘among-all’ continues this approach – as a new chapter in an ongoing narrative about sustainability, AI, tradition and the human being at the centre.
