On 01.07.1968 the company was founded by Mr. Robert Rieder sen. from then on feather and down-proof fabrics with creative designs and colors determined the successful history of the company.

The worldwide export of the printed fabrics was promoted through participation in international trade fairs in Frankfurt and Tokyo. In 1990, after completing his commercial and textile training, Mr. Robert Rieder jr. joined his parents' company.

In 2000, the range was expanded to include plain-colored fabrics and prefabricated shells in various qualities, widths and sewings. 

In 2018, Robert Rieder jr. took over the management of Robert Rieder e. K. and the company founder Robert Rieder sen. retired from the operational business.

In 2019, the company moved to a commercial building in the Freiham industrial estate in Munich.The new premises made it possible to stock more fabric and prefabricated shells, resulting in shorter and more flexible delivery times.

In 2022, the company changed its business form and from then on traded as Robert Rieder GmbH & Co. KG.

Robert Rieder has been offering feather and down-proof fabrics and shells for over 50 years. Over the years, the qualities have been continually adapted and optimized to meet the wishes of our customers. The fabrics have become finer, the feel softer and the range of prefabricated covers and pillows more extensive. Whether large series or custom-made products, Rieder stands for reliability, flexibility, speed and service friendliness.
