Description

FEATURES AND BENEFITS OF COTTON

COTTON IS AN ENVIRMENTALLY FRIENDLY MATERIAL, INCREDIBLY VERSATILE, COTTON FIBERS ARE SOFT AND STRONG

  • SUSTAINABLILITY: COTTON IS A NATURAL FIBER, GROWN FROM THE EARTH AND SPUN INTO A SOFT YARN. COTTON FARMING HAS MADE, AND CONTINUES TO MAKE, HUGE STRIDES TOWARD SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY.
  • HYPOALLERGENIC: COTTON IS HYPOALLERGENIC AND DOES NOT IRRITATE SKIN, MEANING IT IS LESS LIKELY TO CAUSE ALLERGIC REACTIONS OF ANY KIND.
  • DURABILITY: COTTON HAS A HIGH TENSILE STRENGTH, MAKING IT STRONG, DURABLE AND LESS LIKELY TO RIP OR TEAR. IT IS 30 PERCENT STRONGER WHEN WET
  • BIODEGRADABLE: COTTON IS 100% BIODEGRADABLE AND COMPOSTABLE USUALLY TAKE LESS THAN 6 MONTHS TO RE-ENTER THE EARTH.
  • NATURAL: UNLIKE SYNTHETIC FIBERS, COTTON IS A NATURAL FIBER GROWN FROM THE EARTH. IN SHORT, THE FIBER IS SEPARATED FROM THE SEEDS, BEFORE BEING CLEANED AND SPUN INTO YARN, WHICH IS KNITTED INTO FABRIC.
  • BREATHABLE: COTTON IS BREATHABLE AND ABSORBENT, MAKING IT GREAT FOR TEXTILE OR HOME FURNISHING PRODUCTS. RUGS ARE OFTEN 100% COTTON FOR THIS REASON.
  • COMFORTABLE: COTTON IS OFTEN STRETCHY AND SOFT, WITH ITS COMFORT MAKING IT A GREAT CHOICE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN
  • WASHABLE: WE’D RECOMMEND WASHING AT 30 DEGREES, BUT COTTON CAN ALSO WITHSTAND HIGHER TEMPERATURES

MACHU PICCHU (INDOOR-OUTDOOR RUG)

Features, advantages, and benefits

POLYPROPYLENE yarn has myriad benefits which have made it a popular material choice amongst manufacturers and Buyers likewise.

Stain resistant – No fear of dropped food and spilled drinks like coffee or red wine; smudges are easy to wipe off with a damp cloth.

Chemically Inert PP is almost a non-reactive fiber, having excellent chemical resistance to acids and alkalis.

Water resistant - Do you have a swimming pool outside? Consider covering the patio around it with a polypropylene rug. The moisture regain of polypropylene fibers is so small as to be insignificant, and water has almost no effect on tensile strength, nor does it cause any noticeable degradation in the fibers.

Resistant to mold and fungiPolypropylene fiber does not support the growth of mildew, fungi, or bacteria. It cannot be digested by insects and related pests, such as white ants, dermestid beetles, silverfish, and moth larvae.

Solution dyed & color fastness– The only possible way to dye the polypropylene fiber is solution/ dope dyeing. It cannot be dyed conventionally. Hence, the colors stay vibrant for a very long time.

Light Weight – The density of polypropylene is quite low (0.91 g/cc), compared to other synthetic, polyester (PET) for instance (1.38 g/cc). The diameter of PP fiber is therefore proportionally higher than the polyester fiber of the same denier. As a result, thicker and bulkier Rugs are made with PP, for a given count of yarn and area density.

Durable and strong - made to handle extreme weather conditions, and messes; polypropylene rugs are good choices for an outdoor environment.

Easy to clean - they are easy to maintain as don’t absorb the grime and dirt particles stay above.

Effect of sunlight The addition of UV stabilizers during the solution dyeing process helps polypropylene fibers resist polymer degradation in UV light
