Chemically Inert – PP is almost a non-reactive fiber, having excellent chemical resistance to acids and alkalis.

Light Weight – The density of polypropylene is quite low (0.91 g/cc), compared to other synthetic, polyester (PET) for instance (1.38 g/cc). The diameter of PP fiber is therefore proportionally higher than the polyester fiber of the same denier. As a result, thicker and bulkier Rugs are made with PP, for a given count of yarn and area density.

Durable and strong - made to handle extreme weather conditions, and messes; polypropylene rugs are good choices for an outdoor environment.

Easy to clean - they are easy to maintain as don’t absorb the grime and dirt particles stay above.

Effect of sunlight – The addition of UV stabilizers during the solution dyeing process helps polypropylene fibers resist polymer degradation in UV light
