Hembus Wallpaper Manufactory – Craft Meets History
Since 1894, Hembus has been dedicated to the art of handcrafted wallpapers. Today, our exceptional designs are created in a historic estate in the Odenwald – with the same passion and attention to detail as over 130 years ago. Each roll is produced using the traditional screen-printing method on fine paper, making it a true original.
With more than 800 patterns – from Art Nouveau and Art Deco to contemporary interpretations – Hembus offers a remarkable variety. In addition, we faithfully reconstruct historical designs and produce bespoke wallpapers tailored to individual customer wishes.
Our wallpapers adorn palaces, museums, and design hotels around the world, including Neuschwanstein Castle and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Since 2023, the manufactory has been part of the Steuernagel & Lampert family, carrying cultural heritage into the future with fresh creativity.
