The JRU170 is an automated motorised feeder for jumbo rolls and functions in tandem with the XLD170/XLD170HS, allowing the cutters to run at high speed even with very heavy rolls.

It can be loaded with rolls up to 400Kg and the maximum diameter is 76.2 cm. It’s very easy to load by one single operator.

Fotoba has designed a complete line of accessories which in combination to a Canon Colorado 1640/1650 & M-series printers provide a production workhorse that can transform Jumbo rolls into ready for delivery customized wallpaper rolls. In other words a WALLPAPER FACTORY that can run unattended all day long!

The Uvgel Wallpaper factory builds on the printing dimensional stability and productivity of the Canon Colorado. the solution provides an extra productivity by reducing drastically the loading time using a motorized Fotoba Jumbo roll media loader model JRL170 to feed the printer seamless with less expensive media while an inline Fotoba Cutter XLD170WP and Rewinder REW162 are providing an on-time finishing right after.

Label dispenser units are also available at the end of the line to tighten the rolls.

Both the Colorado and the Fotoba Cutter can work separately in case of need to use them for a different application.

Special version of the XLD 170 Digital Print Cutter designed to make the most accurate vertical cut enabling a perfect butt-joint.

Ideal for trimming multiple tiles of single images for side by side. It follows the image with an accuracy of 0,06 mm (0,002 in).

The REW162 is a core-less rewinder which enhances automation on rewinding applications for two different solutions:
Inline with XL series to create fully automated finishing workflow for rolling up to three rolls at the same time with a minimum length of 800mm
Offline as a stand-alone system to create core-less rolls from sheets manually fed. It can be adapted to fit a minimum size of A4 (on request).
The REW162 is capable of rolling one sheet or multiple sheets on the same roll with Multi function. It can handle up to a 12cm diameter roll and a maximum 9Kg roll weight and can also be accessorized with up to three labelers (optional) to make sure the roll tension is consistent through all the finishing process.

The new XLA Series features fully automatic vertical blade positioning that allows cutting of variable sizes of wallpaper without human intervention. Allowing increasing productivity, precision and at the same time reducing production costs along with no human errors related to the manual positioning of the blade. 

Together with the patented X/Y blade image tracking available also on XL series, it is the world’s first fully automatic X/Y cutter, capable of unattended trimming with precision variable sizes in the same roll up to 5 copies side by side without lenght limit.

Controlled by a barcode that is automatically generated by the RIP (see below for compatible RIPs), the XLA recognized the image sizes that are printed on the roll and automatically adjust the position of the vertilcal blades, allowing the trimming of both seamless wallpaper applications as well as standard large format printing.
