The Cotton Egypt Association (CEA) is a non-profit association established in 2005 with support from the Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade.
CEA exclusively manages, markets, promotes, license and monitors the Egyptian Cotton logo owned by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Alexandria Cotton Exporter’s Association (ALCOTEXA) as well as monitoring the authenticity of products licensed to use the logo. Its vision, working closely with local and international companies involved in the Egyptian cotton supply chain, is to globally authenticate the legacy of Egyptian cotton and its mission is protecting and promoting the value-addition of Egyptian cotton identity in the supply chain end-to-end and all Egyptian Cotton licensees and their products.. This ensures that products carrying the Egyptian cotton logo are softer, finer and more resilient than those made from other fibers
