67,216 trade visitors from across the world came to visit the leading international trade fair for home and contract textiles from 8 to 19 January 2019. 3,016 exhibitors presented their innovations during the trade fair.

The manufacturer hall with the largest international product range of upholstery and decorative fabrics, as well as furniture leather, upholstery leather and imitation leather. The most relevant buyer target groups in Hall 4 come from the furniture and home textiles sector or represent textiles editeurs. Hall 4.2 also focuses on another target group: architects, interior designers and hotel furnishers. Manufacturers with experience in contract business showcase their goods and services here. To enhance our offer for this particular target group, Hall 4.2 will also host the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality Expo – the exclusive exhibition format speci cally for the contract sector.

In Hall 6.1 (Asian Excellence) you’ll find high-quality exporters of home textiles, including upholstery and decorative fabrics, curtains, decorative cushions, sun protection systems and carpets from Asia, which have been selected by an independent panel of experts. Other suppliers from Asia will be showcasing their offer individually or in national pavilions in Halls 6.0 and 6.2 under a new name: Asian Selection.

This new combination of previously separate exhibitor and product segments creates synergies for buyers! Interior decorators and designers, in particular, will have more time to visit exhibitors thanks to the joint presentation of all relevant products in one hall – from curtains and decorative fabrics to curtain rails and sun protection systems. Hall 8.0 is also the new home of the DecoTeam, whose members will be presenting all the latest home textile trends.

In 2020, the trend theme of sleep will once again be given a great deal of space at Heimtextil - after all, every person spends a good third of their life in bed. In addition to textile ideas, the latest trends and smart bed-related innovations, the main focus will be on knowledge transfer and the exchange of experience. Our lecture area "Sleep! The Future Forum" presents five top topics, inspiring presentations by experts and scientists, and exciting round-table discussions. Together with partners and institutions, we will highlight the topics "Sleep & Digital", "Sleep & Sport", "Sleep & Hospitality" and "Sleep & Sustainability". New in 2020 is the topic "Sleep & Interior Design".
