The day after tomorrow’s trend: Fantasy!
The fair is drawing to a close. The trends have been viewed and many home-textile experts have already started integrating them into their products back home.
But what can we expect after UNI(RE)VERSE? I asked Mayouri Sengchanh, who was responsible for this year’s Heimtextil Trend Show.
“The boundaries between digital and analogue are blurring”, says the style expert. “Additionally, we have been witnesses to creativity of a pragmatic and functional kind, rather like a new and colourful Bauhaus. A third, major trend is the reanimation of worlds of fantasy.”
Which brings to mind the mega-hit film, ‘Avatar’. And the wonderful dictate: “All power to the imagination!” On this note, I would like to say goodbye to all Trendblog readers. I wish you all a colourful and successful year. Here are a few impressions of the Trend Show.
Donata Apelt-Ihling, Apelt-Stoffe
Exhibitor opinions about Heimtextil 2010
Donata Apelt-Ihling, Apelt-Stoffe: "We have registered a small increase in the number of visitors compared to last year. Our exhibition stand in the Deco Team area is very well positioned. However, I would like to see a broader spectrum of competitors.”
Dietmar Grädtke, Gardisette
Dietmar Grädtke, Gardisette:
"For us, Heimtextil has once again been a good platform for presenting the numerous new Gardisette products and trends to an interested audience of trade visitors. We are very pleased with the results of the fair.”
Diete Hansl-Röntgen, Nya Nordiska
Diete Hansl-Röntgen, Nya Nordiska:
"The fair has been really good for Nya Nordiska. We have had lots to do. The response to the Insider programme has been very good. It was exactly the right thing to do at the right time. However, there could be more high-grade competitors in Hall 3.1. Many customers mentioned this.”
Detlef Braun, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt, and Olaf Schmidt, Vice President, toast a successful fair
All exhibitors with whom I spoke were very pleased with the course of business so far.
All of them simply enjoyed the evening against a background of cheerful voices, good music and stimulating discussions – and all of that in snow-covered Frankfurt.
That’s something really special!
