Trends 2005/2006: Rebel

The rebel
is different. He’s cool. He’s the James Dean of today. Only today he’s not home. First, a private Man Ray viewing and then American Football. Time to look round. His style is an effortless mix of accessories from the 50’s and 60’s and the functionality of the Bauhaus style, the Ettore Sottsass Memphis Group and Le Corbusier.

The colours are intense and sporty with off-white, pure white and steel. Scandinavian furniture exudes solidity, functionality and purity. The interior consists of ceramics, earthenware, granite, undressed
stone, plastics, parquet flooring, tongue-and-groove pine-clad walls and high-gloss blinds. Materials:
Textured cotton and linen, synthetics, denim look, twills, gabardine, ribbed, canvas, rips and double-face. Designs include stripes, checks and op-art and pop-art shirt designs of the 50’s and 60’s. As soon as he’s back, he’ll be phoning his Smart Girl.
