Campus
With the "Campus" special show, Heimtextil offers universities the opportunity to present both themselves and the work of their students. 17 universities from across Europe are participating in this special show in Hall 1.1, which is organised and coordinated by the Chemnitz association 'rooms for free e.V.'. Among the participants are well-known universities such as the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs from Paris (France), the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissen-see (Germany) and the University of Art and Design (Finland). An interesting highlight will be the awards ceremony for the "Launch Pad – The Huntsman Award for European Textile Designers" within a Happy Hour on 10 January at 04:30 pm. With this award, the Huntsmann chemical company sponsors a design product idea or the formation of a company for a final year student or a recently-graduated textile designer, not only financially but also through targeted coaching and networking.
