Trends 2003/2004 - Inspiration of a day

Inspiration of a day

Morning

Gently woken and cosseted by the white and still diffuse light of the morning, we are immersed in a colour world consisting of soft and light pastel tones, and nestle amongst light and translucent fabrics, together with light velour and cotton materials. Deliberately simple and unadorned elements of the living experience create a fresh morning atmosphere. Contrasting nuances of colour, and therefore also strict and sharp lines, are created by shadows cutting through.

Midday

When the sun is at its highest point, we ought to let the sunshine in. The rooms are flooded with intense beams of light and a rich, cool sea of colour. The interplay of the colours with materials close to nature, such as linen, and structured fabrics creates a rustic ambience reminiscent of the Mediterranean. The intensity of the cool colour combinations and creative designs make bold statements and set decorative accents. A world of living with a magic attraction.

Evening

As the day draws to a close, the long shadows cast down rich and warm colours, and the soft light leaves room for bright accents. We are cosseted by high-class fabrics, such as moiré, satin, silk and wool in the glow of candlelight. These fashionable surroundings for the end of the day consist of classic but modern elements and elegant rosewood and teak.

Opposite poles attract

Fabrics and designs are divided up according to the two major areas Severe and Nonchalant. Whilst one area s dominated by simplicity and naturalness, muted colours and clear lines with geometric shapes, the Chaos area flirts with bright colours, fantasy figures and feminine playfulness.
