Pile fabrics

The inspirations for pile fabrics like moss, cut grass, grain, plain and decorated animal hides and jacquard effects are just a suggestion like dew in a frosty mist. Examples include warp velvet, panne velvet, brushed denim and imitation fur.

Lustrous farbrics

The action of sunlight makes the fabrics look more vivid and interesting, like lustres of gold, silver, chrome, brass and matt finish – An iridescent sheen with interesting depths in soft and firm finishes to create relief. Examples are iridescent, satin, patterned weave and serge with chintzed, lacquered and rubber coated finishes.

Constructed fabrics

Firm fabrics can be made more compact thourgh weave and/or finish. The visual effect of these fabrics is reminiscent of metal, a steel effect or diverging water surfaces, like canvas, brick cloth, poplins, twills, rep, ottoman and moiré.

Textured fabrics

The inspirations for textured surfaces are dry earth, dried-out vegetation and porous stones – influences form nature, such as handwoven effect, shantung, honan, jute, linen, hopsack weave, basket weave, slubs, streaked, nappy, bouclé, crackled effect and skin.

Transparent fabrics

Like spring and autumn mist in which the flight conjures up exicting patterns. They are transparent, openwork, delicate and filigree, such as toile, batiste, organza, net, tulle, gauze and etamine.
