Let’s have a look in Hall 3.1 consists of lectures, guided tours, panel discussions, competitions and material workshops. A magnet this year was the series of lectures entitled ‘Rooms for women in hotels’.
In his lectures, Dr. Dietmar Danner, Editor-in-Chief and Publishing Manager of the AIT publishing company, provided practical knowledge about the target group of architects in the contract business – how to make contact with them, how do they reach their decisions and why do they choose which products?
‘Let's talk about it’ lecture forum
The focus of the Contract Day in Hall 8 was on household textiles and renowned experts spoke, inter alia, about ‘Innovative solutions for the hotel bed of the future’ and ‘Caring for flat linen as a cost factor’.
Radka Dudasova’s ‘Always the Same’ took first place
Heimtextil supports young talents in the textile sector via the Young Contract Creations Awards Upholstery and Wall.
In 2010, entrants to the Wall competition were given the subject of ‘Havana’ as the basis for their work.
AIT Innovation Award for the ‘high-stick’ fabric
The Innovation Award Architecture Textile Object was held for the seventh time in cooperation with AIT trade magazine. The Award went to textile products and conceptual room solutions that convinced the jury in terms of design and function.
